Has anyone seen any butterflies in the midwestern states? If so what colors were they?

I used to see hundreds of butterflies in my flower garden. This year I only saw one and it was white. Where have all the butterflies gone?

i live in Ohio



this year i have seen several brown butterflies



one black with white blue and orange dots



several monarchs



several very small lavender butterflies



white ones



yellow ones



and even a few hummingbirds





i guess they moved from your state to my front yard sorry to say id like to keep them in Ohio lol
Reply:I live in South Dakota and there used to be all kinds of butterflies, especially monarch butterflies.. This years I have only seen one as well..the monarch butterflies are the big orange ones with black spots, very beautiful
