visiting their firm two states away?
should I send a card, flowers, gift basket, email? I don't know.
How do I thank the firm that I have been working part time for, when they have reimbursed my expenses for?
Write a letter...or if it's going to a group a card..short note. That is sufficient! And very thoughtful! If you are hoping for more work a gift basket of food is nice...I've had vendors do this for my employees.
Reply:Hmmm. Reimbursement of business expenses is a standard practice. You wouldn't send a gift basket for getting a paycheck that you earned, so why send one because you got back money that you put out for them? I hate to say not to bother, because courtesy is in short supply, but I think it is not called for in this case. A phone call or email thanking them for prompt payment should be more than sufficient.
