Flowers on Muslim graves?
As per my knowledge there is no such hadith which allow or prohibits this. In my understanding because this is a religious matter you are not supposed to do it until there is a proof from Quran and Hadith.
There is this simple principle in islamic fiqh,
All religious matters are prohibited until there is proof from Quran and Sunnah
and
All wordly matters are allowed until there is prohibition in Quran and Sunnah.
Reply:I don't think there's hadith that forbids this. Where I live, there is a Muslim graveyard, and many graves have flowers and commemmerative things. Sorry for your loss, may Allah protect.
Hope I helped.
Reply:i dont see anything wrong with it, but i wouldnt do it if your not sure

Reply:the best present is prayer. i personally dont believe its wrong, as it is not devoting the dead or something. a lot of muslims does that also
Reply:Reading the quran over the grave is more beneficial to the deceased then leaving flowers which cannot benefit the dead.
Reply:you should probably seek the opinion of a scholar from the tradition that you follow.
i am aware of a hadith in the compilation of bukhari that narrates how the prophet (s) placed a palm leaf on a grave. this may or may not be relevant.
i would like to comment on what happily happy said. the fiqh principle is that everything is considered permissible unless explicitly prohibited. however, the ruling is reversed in matters of worship (ibadat) [not religious matters as happily happy stated].
Reply:If it makes you happy continue doing it.
Reply:This practice is an innovation and excess in terms of revering the dead, and it is similar to the practice of those who over-revere pious people. It is feared that this practice may lead to building domes above their graves, seeking their blessings, and taking them for gods beside Allaah (Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala). This practice should be stopped lest it lead to Shirk.
And with Allaah lies all success and may Allaah send prayers and salutations upon our Prophet (sal-Allaahu `alayhe wa sallam) and his family and his companions.

Reply:you cannot put flowers next to graves
