It was a box set or either 2 or 3 cds - white cover with flower/leaf on it.
It was a very "house" music album with a lot of black soul singing on it.
I know for a fact there was a song called "Take Control" on one of the CDs - might have been by an artist called State of Mind.
Ive been searching for years now with no luck!
Please help!!!

Im trying to find a dance album pre 2000?
Hi there!
The album you're looking for based on the genre and album art is either....
"Renaissance The Mix Collection vol.3" (1995)
or
"Renaissance The Mix Collection vol.4" (1996)
One of of which had a flower, the other had a feather. Both have a completely white book-style card case, very contemporary for the time.
There were 2 cd's on both, the best of the Renaissance series however, is the very first one (1994). Volume 2 is excellent trance too!
The cover art for Renaissance Mix Collection 1 was a painting by Michelangelo, which was used inside as well as outside of the cover, and instantly stands out.
You 'can't' buy these albums in the shops remember - they are rare and deleted, therfore Amazon.co.uk or ebay are you best bets. The 3rd and 4th installments go for between £15-£25 usually, and the 2nd goes for about £25-£35. The first volume however goes for over £30 usually though, so you may have a hard job getting it cheap! Though in 2004 a 10th Anniversary edition was released and is only about a tenner - however its been remastered and a couple of tracks have been changed.
look on Amazon.co.uk for them all, and see my reviews! (T.S Clarke)
If you like this mi-nineties house music like me, then you'll absolutely love The Annual vol.2 (vol II) by Ministry of Sound. It's their most un-commercial album to date, and features a house, acid, and trance, including Born Slippy.

(To the answerer below - most of the workers at HMV are brain dead or emo's lol i'm not knockin you, I just thought it was obvious when you walked in!)
Reply:I am not sure what is is however if you go down to a local HMV store you might find it as they have compilation cds from WAY back. Definitely from pre 2000. Look for the dance music section or ask someone that works there to show you. If you know what the cover looks like that'l be very useful in helping you find it. Im not sure about Virgin stores, I don't really go to em. But as I said, check out hmv. You could even go onto their website and search 'dance' and see what comes up. I think the album covers might come up so maybe you should try that first.
www.hmv.co.uk/
looking on the site I think it is
The Renaissance Mix Collection Sasha %26amp; John Digweed. type renaissance on the hmv site and have a look. Good luck!
