okay i have to draw texas landmarks for art class in my drawing. and i tried to draw the capitol building in austin, i even tried to draw the alamo. but neither of them turned out so well. so im wondering, is a bluebonnet a landmark for texas? since it is the state flower.
Landmarks in texas?
The bluebonnet is a symbol, not really a landmark. If the assignment is specific about it being a landmark, then you should not use a bluebonnet.
There are many, the Alamo and the State Capital are good choices. There is also the Tower on the UT campus, the San Jacento Monument, the battleship Texas, or the Dallas skyline.
Reply:No. It's the state flower.
But if it was growing near a landmark
like the capitol then there's no reason why
you couldn't do a close up of the state flower and have
the capitol in the background.
Cadillac Ranch is an interesting
landmark near Austin Texas.
Reply:No, the bluebonnet doesn't count as a landmark. If you want to focus on something here in Austin, then you may want to consider the UT Tower, the 360 bridge, or any or the dams in the area.
Good luck!
Reply:The San Jacinto Monument.
Reply:UT Tower, Alamo, Capital building, Hemisfair Park, Point Isabel Lighthouse, San Antonio Missions, etc
Reply:How about an oil derrick? Or maybe a windmill?
