My husband had dried roses that he has given me on special occasions and we are moving three states away about a 16 hour drive. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how to safely pack them so they don't get destroyed in the move?
Packing Dried Flowers?
Kitty litter! I moved my dried flower arrangements, several bouquets, and individual stems across the country safely by "packing" them in plastic containers filled with kitty litter. You can layer the flowers separating each layer with kitty litter. Just make certain that the containers you use have very secure lids, I taped mine down just in case and they all arrived safely. Once you get them in your new location, shake them off or use canned air to blow off the litter.
Reply:Buy a tin can and store only the dried roses in the tin can for shipping. That way the roses stay in tact and they will not crush one another.
