Should I meet my fiance at he arrives @ the airport with a flower or flowers??
i think the idea of balloons and roses would be good, but i wouldn't consider it for men!..my husband for example, he doesn't like it this way, he thinks he's been humiliated in front of the crowd!! , he prefers a nice hug and big kiss..maybe u can arrange a party for him at home, and suprise him..i think it would be cool..anyways, have fun!
Reply:I think it would be nice (in the "I'm giving you 'my flower'" kind of thing) so long as you don't overdo it -- a deep red rose may be okay, but a pink gerbera daisy, not so much. But only you really know your guy. I'd think something a little more American might be appropriate.
Reply:I would do the flowers thing but not the balloons;they are tacky, childish.
Reply:I have to agree with the people who said no flowers. Guys really don't like to be given flowers. Instead, why not greet him with something that really represents the US since this will now be his home. It can be something funny or something traditional. Be creative.
Reply:I think one red rose would be very romantic, just one!
Reply:single malt scotch and a motel key would be my choice :-)
Reply:Usually men are not so big on flowers but the balloons sound great. Good Luck to you!
Reply:I'm a Texas Gal.
So, when my future hubby officially moved from Buffalo NY to Texas, I was waiting for him at the airport with a single Yellow Rose of Texas. - our state rose.
Find out what the state flower is for your state and maybe, just maybe, do the same? No big fanfare. Just a smile with a single flower to greet him w/love should be sufficient.
You know, the Hawaiian people have their flower wreaths...Such an expression of welcome!
