Why does he have to be practically world away?

I have been on dates with a few guys and we always have tons of fun...But it seems like they never call me back after the first few dates. The only guy that has stayed interested in me lives an ocean away...He sends me flowers, calls me, emails me, and he is really sweet when we communicate....Should I wait on him (he wants to move to the states sometime in the near future and he is planning a visit back here really soon to see me..)or should I continue to date people that live closer to me??? I am interested in him (a little), but it's hard too because he is so far away... Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks!

keep dating....if he comes to the states and you end up together that's great...in the mean time, live your life...good luck

Reply:Please be cautious with your out of country friend. I have found there are guys out there who are really looking for an American girlfriend as a ticket to living in this country. Their first interest in you should be for love and commitment, not advantages. I've been there! This may not be the case with you, but it sure sounds like what I went through! Let your face-to-face relationships have time to grow. There is nothing like having the boyfriend you can see, touch, feel, spend time with. Don't promise too much too soon to your out of country friend. Please be cautious!
