Camera Beginner?
There are a lot of good ideas in the Yahoo Answers search box. Also try these search lists:

I have also joined the Yahoo Flickr group for answer users, and I study their pictures to get ideas.

Reply:Start reading "Outdoor Photographer." They not only have great photographers publishing good photos, but they talk about how to do it. Another thing to do is go to a website listed in my "myspace" photography group page (I'll list the website) and read about things like apertures, shutter speeds, film "speeds", megabytes per picture, the rule of thirds, etc. Also, make sure that when you buy your camera (if you haven't already) that you see if the shop has a beginner's class. Even if it's $20 or something, it's worth it. Also, "OP" has a bunch of workshops in various cities each year that are one day long and you can learn a lot of outdoor techniques that way.
